- Cette initiative du CICC est une réponse au vieillissement des planteur·euse·s et des plantations. Elle a également pour objectif d’intéresser les jeunes au programme Nouvelle génération et de les inciter à y participer.

- Elle vise la professionnalisation des jeunes cacaoculteur·rice·s et leur insertion dans la filière cacao.

- L’initiative Nouvelle génération a permis l’intégration de plusieurs jeunes dans la cacaoculture. Ces jeunes produisent un cacao de qualité dans les centres d’excellence mis en place par le CICC. Pour que ce projet soit plus efficace, une réforme foncière est souhaitable afin de faciliter l’accès à la terre.
